Long John Hunter Interview

I was going through my old cassettes recently and ran across this great Long John Hunter interview from the late nineties. The interview ran on a national blues show called, "That's The Blues". The show didn't last long, (In fact, I can't find anything about it on the internet) but this is a really good interview. He talks about seeing B.B King in Beaumont, Texas in the early fifties, buying his first guitar and the crazy Juarez/El Paso music scene. Well worth a listen.

Long John Hunter was a legendary Texas bluesman who never hit the mainstream, but he was a great guitarist, writer and singer. Although, not well known in the U.S, he was pretty big in Europe. Sadly, he passed away in January at the age of 84.
